Other Paintings

In seventh grade my art teacher looked out the window and said “How would you paint that tree? Just brown? That’s not capturing the shadows and true color we are seeing.” He went on to describe adding purples and reds and explaining color. I now stare at the window and think, “How would I paint that?” I see the different tones and try to relay what I see.
